Abstract
Neurostimulation has emerged as a significant therapeutic approach for various disabilities (e.g., emotional disability), revolutionizing the management and treatment of affected individuals. By delivering electrical impulses to the nervous system, it targets multiple types of disabilities, including those related to emotion. It has emerged as a significant therapeutic option for emotional disabilities, offering new hope for patients who do not respond adequately to traditional treatments. Emotional disabilities, such as major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and post – traumatic stress disorder, are characterized by dysregulated emotional states and disrupted neural circuits. Neurostimulation techniques, including deep brain stimulation (DBS), vagus nerve stimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and transcranial direct – current stimulation (tDCS), target these underlying neural dysfunctions. DBS and vagus nerve stimulation, which are invasive and semi – invasive methods respectively, are often used for severe cases.
